As a student-run literary publication, Berkeley Fiction Review is committed to being a place where all writers have the chance to see their work in print—that’s why, unlike a majority of other literary journals, we don’t charge a submission fee and never will. However, with no revenue from submissions and nearly one hundred percent of our funding being used on physically printing our journal, we aren’t able to compensate our authors monetarily. We absolutely believe that our authors deserve to be paid for the stories that make our journal what it is.

That’s where we need your help.

We pay each of our authors a $25 fee for the story they contribute. And if you become a sponsor, your $25 donation will be used to directly compensate an author of Issue 43. Your money won’t be used for anything else—it will only be used to ensure that all our authors are rightfully paid.

Sponsorship benefits include:

  • Your name on an “Our Sponsors” page in Issue 43
  • A free copy of Issue 43
  • A 50% discount on a past issue of Berkeley Fiction Review, by request
  • The warm, tingly feeling that comes with knowing you helped a student-run journal reach their goal of compensating their talented authors!

If you would like to sponsor us, please fill out this form. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at our email: Thank you in advance for your generosity and for supporting Berkeley Fiction Review

NOTE: Your sponsorship will only be valid for the Issue 43 cycle. If you would like to sponsor us again next year for Issue 44, you will need to make another donation at that time.
